1There was a man in the land of Uz named Job, and he was a simple and honest man, fearing God and withdrawing from evil.
1:1The Book of Job is about events in the life of a man named Job. It is also about the future sufferings of the Church. Job is the Church. The sufferings of Job are the sufferings of the Church. The Book of Job is not only about the one man Job who suffered greatly, but it is also about the tribulation of the Church during the end times.
