Hadarezer.Hadadezer, [Hadad'ezer ,] in the parallel passage, seems an evident mistake for [Hadar'ezer ,] Hadarezer; for the LXX. and Vulgate there, as here, read [Adaraazar,] Adarezer. The difference arises from the mistake of a [Rêysh,] {raish,} for a [Dâleth,] {daleth,} two letters very similar.

footmen.If these troops were as we have suppose, a kind of dismounted cavalry, the terms footmen and horsemen might be indifferently applied to them.
