1 Now there were in the church at Antioch ^dprophets and ^eteachers, ^fBarnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, ^{▼▼ Niger is a Latin word meaning black, or dark} Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of ^hHerod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, ⁱthe Holy Spirit said, ^j“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul ^kfor the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and ^lpraying they laid their hands on them and ^msent them off.
