Mary’s Song of Praise: The Magnificat

46And Mary said,

iMy jsoul kmagnifies the Lord,
47 land my mspirit rejoices in nGod my Savior,
48for ohe has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations pwill call me blessed;
49for qhe who is mighty rhas done great things for me,
and sholy is his name.
50And this mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
51 uHe has shown strength with his arm;
vhe has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
52 whe has brought down the mighty from their thrones
xand exalted those of humble estate;
53he has filled ythe hungry with good things,
and the rich zhe has sent away empty.
54He has aahelped abhis servant Israel,
acin remembrance of his mercy,
55 adas he spoke to our fathers,
aeto Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
56And Mary remained with her about three months and returned to her home.
