Genesis 27:1

Jacob, by him mother’s counsel, obtains his father’s blessing instead of Esau. And by her is advised to fly to his uncle Laban.

1Now Isaac was old, and his eyes were cloudy, and so he was not able to see. And he called his elder son Esau, and he said to him, “My son?” And he responded, “Here I am.”
27:1Isaac apparently had cataracts, which can severely hamper one’s vision, just as described in this passage.(Conte)
