Matthew 10:10
10nor provisions for the journey, nor two tunics, nor shoes, nor a staff. For the laborer deserves his portion. ▼ , ▼▼10:10This text might also be read so that ‘duas’ (not so much two, as a second) would refer to the subsequent list, as in, ‘nor a second tunic, or pair of shoes, or staff,’ to the effect that one tunic, one pair of shoes, and one staff might be permitted. Similarly, the previous verse lists gold, silver, and money as those things that should not possessed by them in their belts.(Conte)
