Head; rightful governor or ruler.The head of Christ is God; in the work of redemption, Christ, as Mediator, was subject to the Father, and acted in obedience to him. So Christians should be subject to Christ, and the woman to the man. It is the will of God that there should be a difference of condition, and this requires a difference in their appearance.
