33 And ^aPharaoh Neco imprisoned him at ^bRiblah in the land of ^cHamath, so that he would not reign in Jerusalem; and he imposed on the land a fine of ^{▼▼About 3.75 tons or 3.4 metric tons}a hundred talents of silver and ^{▼▼About 75 lb. or 34 kg}a talent of gold.

Jehoiakim Made King by Pharaoh

34 Then Pharaoh Neco made ^fEliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of his father Josiah, and he ^gchanged his name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and ^{▼▼As in LXX; MT he came
,} ⁱbrought him to Egypt, and he died there. 35 So Jehoiakim ^jgave the silver and gold to Pharaoh, but he assessed the land in order to give the money at the ^{▼▼Lit mouth}command of Pharaoh. He collected the silver and gold from the people of the land, each according to his assessment, to give to Pharaoh Neco.
