1 Timothy 2:5-6

5For a  there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man

Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus the Great High Priest

14Since then we have f  a great high priest g  who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God h  let us hold fast our confession. 15For we do not have a high priest i  who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been j  tempted as we are k  yet without sin. 16 l  Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 7:25-26

25Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost
That is, completely; or at all times
n  those who draw near to God o  through him, since he always lives p  to make intercession for them.

26For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest q  holy, innocent, unstained r  separated from sinners, and s  exalted above the heavens.

Hebrews 10:19-23

The Full Assurance of Faith

19 t  Therefore, brothers
Or  brothers and sisters
since we have confidence to enter v  the holy places by the blood of Jesus,
20by w  the new and living way that he opened for us through x  the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21and since we have y  a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts z  sprinkled clean aa  from an evil conscience and our bodies ab  washed with pure water. 23 ac  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for ad  he who promised is faithful.

1 John 2:1

Christ Our Advocate

1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin ae  we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1 John 5:14-16

14And this is af  the confidence that we have toward him, that ag  if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

16If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and ah  God
Greek he
will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. aj  There is sin that leads to death; ak  I do not say that one should pray for that.
