Jehoiachin Reigns in Judah

8 a  Jehoiachin was b  eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 36:10

10In c  the spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, d  with the precious vessels of the house of the  Lord, and made his brother e  Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Esther 2:6

6 f  who had been carried away from Jerusalem among the captives carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away.

Jeremiah 22:24-28

24 g  “As I live, declares the  Lord, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were h  the signet ring on my right hand, yet I would tear you off 25and i  give you j  into the hand of those who seek your life, into the hand of those of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 k  I will hurl you and l  the mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born, and there you shall die. 27But to the land to which they will long to return, there they shall not return.”

28 Is this man m  Coniah a despised, broken pot,
a n  vessel no one cares for?
Why are he and his children hurled and cast
into a o  land that they do not know?
