3 a  I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated b  at the feet of c  Gamaliel
Or  city at the feet of Gamaliel, educated
e  according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers f  being zealous for God g  as all of you are this day.

Acts 26:9-11

9 h  I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of i  Jesus of Nazareth. 10 j  And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority k  from the chief priests, but l  when they were put to death I cast my vote against them. 11And m  I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them n  blaspheme, and o  in raging fury against them I p  persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Galatians 1:13-14

13For you have heard of q  my former life in Judaism, how r  I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. 14And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely s  zealous was I for t  the traditions of my fathers.
