Ezra 1:1-2

The Proclamation of Cyrus

1 a  In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia b  that the word of the  Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the  Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so c  that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

2Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The  Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and d  he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Isaiah 45:13

13 e  I have stirred him up in righteousness,
f  and I will make all his ways level;
g  he shall build my city
h  and set my exiles free,
not for price or reward,”
says the  Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 48:20

20 i  Go out from Babylon, flee from j  Chaldea,
declare this k  with a shout of joy, proclaim it,
send it out to the end of the earth;
say, l  “The  Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!”

Isaiah 52:9-12

9 m  Break forth together into singing,
n  you waste places of Jerusalem,
for o  the  Lord has comforted his people;
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
10 p  The  Lord has bared his holy arm
before the eyes of all the nations,
q  and all the ends of the earth shall see
the salvation of our God.
11 r  Depart, depart, go out from there;
touch no unclean thing;
go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves,
s  you who bear the vessels of the  Lord.
12For you shall not t  go out in haste,
and you shall not go in flight,
u  for the  Lord will go before you,
v  and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Micah 7:8-13

8 w  Rejoice not over me, O x  my enemy;
y  when I fall, I shall rise;
z  when I sit in darkness,
the  Lord will be a light to me.
9 aa  I will bear the indignation of the  Lord
because I have sinned against him,
until ab  he pleads my cause
and executes judgment for me.
ac  He will bring me out to the light;
I shall look upon his vindication.
10Then ad  my enemy will see,
and shame will cover her who ae  said to me,
Where is the  Lord your God?”
af  My eyes will look upon her;
now she will be trampled down
ag  like the mire of the streets.
11 ah  A day for the building of your walls!
In that day the boundary shall be far extended.
12In that day they
Hebrew he
will come to you,
aj  from Assyria and the cities of Egypt,
and from Egypt to ak  the River,
al  from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain.
13But am  the earth will be desolate
because of its inhabitants,
for the fruit of their deeds.

Zechariah 2:7-9

7 an  Up! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon. 8For thus said the  Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me
Or he sent me after glory
to the nations who plundered you, ap  for he who touches you touches aq  the apple of his eye:
9Behold ar  I will shake my hand over them, as  and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then at  you will know that the  Lord of hosts has sent me.
