11And God said, a  “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants
Or small plants; also verses 12, 29
yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
12The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 2:4-5

The Creation of Man and Woman

4 c  These are the generations
of the heavens and the earth when they were created,
in the day that the  Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

5When no d  bush of the field
Or open country
was yet in the land
Or earth; also verse 6
and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the  Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man g  to work the ground,

Genesis 2:9

9And out of the ground the  Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. h  The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, i  and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 4:11-12

11And now j  you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”

Isaiah 61:11

11For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up,
so the Lord  God will cause k  righteousness and praise
to sprout up before all the nations.
