Deuteronomy 32:18-25

18You were unmindful of c  the Rock that bore

19 f  “The  Lord saw it and spurned them,
because of the provocation of g  his sons and his daughters.
20And he said h  ‘I will hide my face from them;
I will see what their end will be,
for they are a perverse generation,
children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 i  They have made me jealous with what is no god;
they have provoked me to anger j  with their idols.
So k  I will make them jealous with those who are no people;
I will provoke them to anger with l  a foolish nation.
22For m  a fire is kindled by my anger,
and it burns to n  the depths of Sheol,
devours the earth and its increase,
and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23 “‘And I will heap disasters upon them;
o  I will spend my arrows on them;
24they shall be wasted with hunger,
and devoured by plague
and poisonous pestilence;
I will send p  the teeth of beasts against them,
with the venom of q  things that crawl in the dust.
25 r  Outdoors the sword shall bereave,
and indoors terror,
for young man and woman alike,
the nursing child with the man of gray hairs.

2 Chronicles 36:16-17

16 s  But they kept mocking the messengers of God t  despising his words and scoffing at his prophets u  until the wrath of the  Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

20 z  He feeds on aa  ashes; a deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, “Is there not ab  a lie in my right hand?”

The  Lord Redeems Israel

21 Remember these things, O Jacob,
and Israel, for you are ac  my servant;
I formed you; you are my servant;
ad  O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.

Isaiah 44:24

24 Thus says the  Lord, ae  your Redeemer,
af  who formed you from the womb:
ag  I am the  Lord, who made all things,
ah  who alone stretched out the heavens,
