Hosea 11:7-9

7My people are bent a  on turning away from me,
and though b  they call out to the Most High,
he shall not raise them up at all.
8 How can I give you up, O Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, O Israel?
c  How can I make you d  like Admah?
How can I treat you e  like Zeboiim?
f  My heart recoils within me;
my compassion grows warm and tender.
9I will not execute my burning anger;
I will not again destroy Ephraim;
g  for I am God and not a man,
h  the Holy One in your midst,
and I will not come in wrath.
Or into the city

Micah 6:2-5

2 j  Hear, you mountains k  the indictment of the  Lord,
and you enduring foundations of the earth,
for the  Lord has an indictment against his people,
and he will contend with Israel.
3 “O my people, l  what have I done to you?
m  How have I wearied you? Answer me!
4For n  I brought you up from the land of Egypt
and o  redeemed you from the house of slavery,
and I sent before you Moses,
Aaron, and p  Miriam.
5O my people, remember q  what Balak king of Moab devised,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him,
and what happened from r  Shittim to Gilgal,
that you may know s  the righteous acts of the  Lord.”
