Isaiah 1:16-18

16 a  Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
b  cease to do evil,
17learn to do good;
c  seek justice,
correct oppression;
d  bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
18 Come now, e  let us reason
Or dispute
together
, says the  Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as g  white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.

Ezekiel 18:27-31

27Again, h  when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. 28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

30Therefore i  I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord  God. j  Repent and turn from all your transgressions k  lest iniquity be your ruin.
Or lest iniquity be your stumbling block
31 m  Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and n  make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! o  Why will you die, O house of Israel?

Acts 26:20

20but declared first p  to those in Damascus q  then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also r  to the Gentiles, that they should s  repent and t  turn to God, performing deeds u  in keeping with their repentance.

2 Corinthians 7:10-11

10For v  godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas w  worldly grief produces death. 11For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing x  what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have proved yourselves innocent in the matter.

Galatians 5:22-24

22But y  the fruit of the Spirit is z  love, joy, peace, patience aa  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 ab  gentleness ac  self-control; ad  against such things there is no law. 24And those who belong to Christ Jesus ae  have crucified the flesh with its af  passions and desires.
