Isaiah 43:66I will say to the north, Give up,
and to the south, Do not withhold;
bring a my sons from afar
and b my daughters from the end of the earth,
Isaiah 49:17-2217Your builders make haste; ▼
▼Dead Sea Scroll; Masoretic Text Your children make haste
d your destroyers and those who laid you waste go out from you.
18 e Lift up your eyes around and see;
they all gather, they come to you.
f As I live, declares the Lord,
g you shall put them all on as an ornament;
you shall bind them on as a bride does.
19 “Surely your waste and your desolate places
and your devastated land—
h surely now you will be too narrow for your inhabitants,
and those who swallowed you up will be far away.
20 i The children of your bereavement
will yet say in your ears:
j ‘The place is too narrow for me;
make room for me to dwell in.’
21Then you will say in your heart:
‘Who has borne me these?
k I was bereaved and barren,
exiled and put away,
but who has brought up these?
Behold, I was left alone;
from where have these come?’”
22 Thus says the Lord God:
“Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations,
l and raise my signal to the peoples;
m and they shall bring your sons in their arms, ▼
▼Hebrew in their bosom
and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
The Eternal Covenant of Peace1 o “Sing, O barren one, who did not bear;
break forth into singing and cry aloud,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of p the desolate one q will be more
than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.
2 r “Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
3 s For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,
and your offspring will possess the nations
and will people the desolate cities.
Isaiah 60:4-224 t Lift up your eyes all around, and see;
they all gather together, they come to you;
u your sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
5Then you shall see and v be radiant;
your heart shall thrill and exult ▼
▼Hebrew your heart shall tremble and grow wide
because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
x the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
6A multitude of camels shall cover you,
the young camels of y Midian and z Ephah;
all those from aa Sheba shall come.
ab They shall bring gold and frankincense,
and shall bring good news, the praises of the Lord.
7All the flocks of ac Kedar shall be gathered to you;
the rams of ad Nebaioth shall minister to you;
ae they shall come up with acceptance on my altar,
af and I will beautify my beautiful house.
8 Who are these that fly like a cloud,
and ag like doves to their windows?
9For ah the coastlands shall hope for me,
ai the ships of Tarshish first,
aj to bring your children from afar,
their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the Lord your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel,
because ak he has made you beautiful.
10 al Foreigners shall build up your walls,
and am their kings shall minister to you;
for in my wrath I struck you,
but in my favor I have had mercy on you.
11 an Your gates shall be open continually;
day and night they shall not be shut,
ao that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations,
with their kings led in procession.
12 ap For the nation and kingdom
that will not serve you shall perish;
those nations shall be utterly laid waste.
13 aq The glory of Lebanon shall come to you,
the cypress, the plane, and ar the pine,
to beautify the place of my sanctuary,
and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14 as The sons of those who afflicted you
shall come bending low to you,
at and all who despised you
shall bow down at your feet;
au they shall call you the City of the Lord,
the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 av Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,
with no one passing through,
aw I will make you majestic forever,
a joy from age to age.
16 ax You shall suck the milk of nations;
you shall nurse at the breast of kings;
and you shall know that ay I, the Lord, am your Savior
and your Redeemer az the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
and instead of iron I will bring silver;
instead of wood, bronze,
instead of stones, iron.
I will make your overseers peace
ba and your taskmasters righteousness.
18 bb Violence shall no more be heard in your land,
devastation or destruction within your borders;
bc you shall call your walls Salvation,
and your gates Praise.
19 bd The sun shall be no more
your light by day,
nor for brightness shall the moon
give you light; ▼

▼Or your beauty
20Your sun shall no more go down,

21 bh Your people shall all be righteous;
bi they shall possess the land forever,
bj the branch of my planting, the work of my hands,
that I might be glorified. ▼
▼Or that I might display my beauty
22 bl The least one shall become a clan,
and the smallest one a mighty nation;
bm I am the Lord;

Isaiah 66:2020 bn And they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations bo as an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord.
Hosea 2:2323and bp I will sow her for myself in the land.
And bq I br will have mercy on No Mercy ▼
and bt I will say to Not My People ▼
▼Hebrew Lo-ammibv ‘You are my people’;
and he shall say, ‘You are my God.’”
1 Peter 2:9-109But you are bw a chosen race bx a royal by priesthood bz a holy nation ca a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you cb out of darkness into cc his marvelous light. 10 cd Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
