Gabriel Brings an Answer

20 j  While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my plea before the  Lord my God for k  the holy hill of my God, 21while I was speaking in prayer, the man l  Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first m  came to me in swift flight at n  the time of the evening sacrifice. 22 o  He made me understand, speaking with me and saying, “O Daniel, I have now come out to give you p  insight and understanding. 23 q  At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out r  and I have come to tell it to you, for s  you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word t  and understand the vision.

Daniel 10:2-3

2In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for u  three weeks. 3I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I v  anoint myself at all, for w  the full three weeks.
