Jeremiah 26:8

8And when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the  Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, then a  the priests and the prophets and all the people laid hold of him, saying, “You shall die!

Jeremiah 36:26

26And the king commanded Jerahmeel the b  king’s son and Seraiah the son of Azriel and c  Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to seize d  Baruch the secretary and Jeremiah the prophet, but the  Lord hid them.

Jeremiah 38:4-6

4Then the officials said to the king, e  Let this man be put to death, f  for he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking g  the welfare of this people, but their harm.” 5King Zedekiah said, “Behold, he is in your hands h  for the king can do nothing against you.” 6So they took Jeremiah i  and cast him into the cistern of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in j  the court of the guard, letting Jeremiah down k  by ropes. l  And there was no water in the cistern, but only mud, and m  Jeremiah sank in the mud.
