Ezekiel 34:2-6
2“Son of man, prophesy against the ashepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to ▼▼Lit them, the shepherds
those shepherds, ‘This is what the Lord ▼▼Heb YHWH, usually rendered Lord, and so throughout the ch
God says: “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been ▼▼Lit pasturing, pasture
efeeding themselves! Should the shepherds not ▼▼Lit pasturing, pasture
gfeed the flock? 3You heat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you islaughter the fat sheep ▼▼Lit you do not pasture
without feeding the flock. 4Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, kthe broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you lsearched for the lost; but with force and with violence you have ▼▼Or ruled
dominated them. 5They nscattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became ofood for every animal of the field and scattered. 6My flock pstrayed through all the mountains and on every high hill; qMy flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was rno one to search or seek for them.”’”
