20 Jacob also ^amade a vow, saying, “ ^bIf God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I ^{▼▼Lit go}take, and give me ^{▼▼Lit bread} ^efood to eat and garments to wear, 21 and ^fI return to my father’s house in ^{▼▼Lit peace}safety, ^hthen the Lord will be my God. 22 And this stone, which I have set up as a memorial stone, ⁱwill be God’s house, and ^jof everything that You give me I will assuredly give a tenth to You.”
