Isa 22:3-5 | NASB2020 | STEP | All your rulers have fled together , And have been captured without the bow ; All of you who were found were taken captive together , Though they had fled far away.

‏ Isaiah 22:3-5

3 ^aAll your rulers have fled together,
And have been captured ^{▼▼Lit from a bow}without the bow;
All of you who were found were taken captive together,
^{▼▼As in ancient versions; MT They fled far away}Though they had fled far away.
4 Therefore I say, “Look away from me,
Let me ^dweep bitterly,
Do not ^{▼▼Lit insist}try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
5 ^fFor the Lord ^{▼▼Heb YHWH, usually rendered Lord}God of armies has a ^hday of panic, ⁱsubjugation, and confusion
^jIn the valley of vision,
A breaking down of walls
And a crying ^{▼▼Or against}to the mountain.
