Isa 5:26-29 | NASB2020 | STEP | He will also lift up a flag to the distant nation , And whistle for it from the ends of the earth ; And behold , it will come with speed swiftly .

‏ Isaiah 5:26-29

26 He will also lift up a ^aflag to the distant ^{▼▼Lit nations; prob. Assyria}nation,
And ^cwhistle for it ^dfrom the ends of the earth;
And behold, it will ^ecome with speed swiftly.
27 ^fNo one in it is tired or stumbles,
No one slumbers or sleeps;
Nor is the ^gundergarment at his waist loosened,
Nor his sandal strap broken.
28 ^{▼▼Lit Which, its arrows} ⁱIts arrows are sharp and all its bows are bent;
The hoofs of its horses ^{▼▼Lit are regarded as}seem like flint, and its chariot ^kwheels like a storm wind.
29 Its ^lroaring is like a lioness, and it roars like young lions;
It growls as it ^mseizes the prey
And carries it off with ⁿno one to save it.
