‏ Isaiah 63:2-6

2 Why is Your apparel red,
And Your garments like one who ^atreads in the wine press?
3 “ ^bI have trodden the wine trough alone,
And from the peoples there was no one with Me.
I also ^ctrod them in My anger
And ^dtrampled them in My wrath;
And ^etheir ^{▼▼Lit juice}lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments,
And I ^{▼▼Lit defiled}stained all My clothes.
4 “For the ^hday of vengeance was in My heart,
And My year of redemption has come.
5 “I looked, but there was ⁱno one to help,
And I was astonished and there was no one to uphold;
So My ^jown arm brought salvation to Me,
And My wrath upheld Me.
6 “I ^ktrampled down the peoples in My anger
And made them ^ldrunk with My wrath,
And I ^{▼▼Lit brought down their juice to the earth}poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”
