18 aWhile He was saying these things to them, behold, ▼▼Or one
a synagogue ▼▼Lit ruler
official came and ▼▼Or worshiped
ebowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will become alive again.” 19Jesus got up from the table and began to accompany him, along with His disciples. 20 And behold, a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind Him, and touched fthe ▼▼Or tassel; i.e., a ritual tassel sewn to corners of garments for Jewish men
border of His ▼▼Or outer garment
cloak; 21for she was ▼▼Or thinking
saying ▼▼Lit in herself
to herself, “If I only ktouch His cloak, I will ▼▼Lit be saved
get well.” 22But Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, “Daughter, mtake courage; nyour faith has ▼▼Lit saved you
made you well.” And ▼▼Lit from that hour
at once the woman was ▼▼Lit saved
made well. 23 When Jesus came into the ▼▼Lit ruler’s
official’s house and saw sthe flute players and the crowd in noisy disorder, 24He said, “Leave; for the girl thas not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him. 25But uwhen the crowd had been sent out, He entered and vtook her by the hand, and the girl ▼▼Or was raised up
got up. 26And xthis news spread throughout that land.
