‏ Matthew 9:2-8

2 aAnd they brought to Him a bparalyzed man lying on a stretcher. And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man who was paralyzed, cTake courage,
Lit child
son; eyour sins are forgiven.”
3And some of the scribes said
Lit among
to themselves, “This man is gblaspheming!”
4And Jesus, hperceiving their thoughts, said, Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘ iYour sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But so that you may know that jthe Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins --then He *said to the kparalyzed man, Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home.” 7And he got up and
Lit departed to his home
went home.
8But when the crowds saw this, they were
Lit afraid
awestruck, and they nglorified God, who had given such authority to men.
