The Lord Gives Dominion to the King.

A Psalm of David.

1 ^aThe Lord says to my Lord:
“ ^bSit at My right hand
Until I make ^cYour enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
2 The Lord will stretch out Your strong ^dscepter from Zion, saying,
“ ^eRule in the midst of Your enemies.”
3 Your ^fpeople ^{▼▼Lit will be voluntary offerings}will volunteer freely on the day of Your ^{▼▼Or army}power;
ⁱIn ^{▼▼Or the splendor of holiness}holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn,
^{▼▼Or The dew of Your youth is Yours}Your youth are to You as the ^ldew.

4 ^mThe Lord has sworn and will ⁿnot ^{▼▼Lit be sorry}change His mind,
“You are a ^ppriest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is ^qat Your right hand;
He ^{▼▼Or has shattered}will ^sshatter kings in the ^tday of His wrath.
6 He will ^ujudge among the nations,
He ^{▼▼Or has filled}will fill them with ^wcorpses,
He ^{▼▼Or has shattered}will ^yshatter the ^{▼▼Lit head over}chief men over a broad country.
7 He will ^aadrink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will ^ablift up His head.
