Israel Invoked to Praise the Lord.

1 ^{▼▼Or Hallelujah!}Praise ^{▼▼Heb Yah}the Lord!
Sing a ^cnew song to the Lord,
And His praise ^din the congregation of the godly ones.
2 Israel shall be joyful in ^ehis Maker;
The sons of Zion shall rejoice in their ^fKing.
3 They shall praise His name with ^gdancing;
They shall sing praises to Him with ^htambourine and lyre.
4 For the Lord ⁱtakes pleasure in His people;
He will ^jglorify the lowly with salvation.

5 The ^kgodly ones shall be jubilant in glory;
They shall ^lsing for joy on their beds.
6 The ^mhigh praises of God shall be in their ^{▼▼Lit throat}mouths,
And a ^otwo-edged ^psword in their hands,
7 To ^qexecute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,
8 To bind their kings ^rwith chains,
And their ^sdignitaries with shackles of iron,
9 To ^texecute against them the judgment written.
This is an ^uhonor for all His godly ones.
