1 ^aAscribe to the Lord, ^{▼▼Lit sons of gods}sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory ^{▼▼Lit of His name}due His name;
Worship the Lord ^din holy attire.

3 The ^evoice of the Lord is on the waters;
The God of glory ^fthunders,
The Lord is over ^{▼▼Or great} ^hmany waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is ⁱpowerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks ^jthe cedars of Lebanon in pieces.
6 He makes Lebanon ^kskip like a calf,
And ^lSirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord divides ^{▼▼I.e., lightning}flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord ^{▼▼Or causes...to whirl}shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of ^oKadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes ^pthe deer give birth
And strips the forests bare;
And ^qin His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sat as King at the ^rflood;
Yes, the Lord sits as ^sKing forever.
