For the music director; on a stringed instrument. A Psalm of David.

1 ^aHear my cry, God;
^bGive Your attention to my prayer.
2 From the ^cend of the earth I call to You when my heart is ^dfaint;
Lead me to ^ethe rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a ^frefuge for me,
A ^gtower of strength against the enemy.
4 Let me ^{▼▼Or sojourn} ⁱdwell in Your tent forever;
Let me ^jtake refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

5 For You have heard my ^kvows, God;
You have given me the inheritance of those who ^lfear Your name.
6 You will ^{▼▼Lit add days to} ⁿprolong the king’s ^{▼▼Lit days}life;
His years will be like generations.
7 He will ^{▼▼Or remain before}sit enthroned ^qbefore God forever;
Appoint ^rfaithfulness and truth that they may watch over him.
8 So I will ^ssing praise to Your name forever,
That I may ^tpay my vows day by day.
