For the music director;

according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

1 bMy soul waits in silence for God alone;
From Him ccomes my salvation.

2 He alone is my drock and my salvation,
My estronghold; I will not be greatly shaken.

3 How long will you attack a man,
That you may murder him, all of you,
Like a fleaning wall, like a tottering fence?

4 They have planned only to thrust him down from his high position;
They gdelight in falsehood;
They hbless with
Lit his
their mouth,
But inwardly they curse. Selah

5 My soul, jwait in silence for God alone,
For my hope is from Him.

6 He alone is kmy rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken.

7 My lsalvation and my glory rest on God;
The rock of my strength, my mrefuge is in God.

8 nTrust in Him at all times, you people;
oPour out your hearts before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

9 People of plow standing are only qbreath, and people of rank are a rlie;
In the sbalances they go up.
Together they are lighter than breath.

10 tDo not trust in oppression,
And do not vainly rely on urobbery;
If wealth increases, vdo not set your heart on it.

11 God has wspoken
Or one thing
once;
Or These two things I have heard
Twice I have heard this:
That zpower belongs to God;

12 And faithfulness aais Yours, Lord,
For You abreward a person according to his work.
