God’s Abundant Favor to Earth and Mankind.

For the music director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 There will be silence ^{▼▼Lit to}before You, and praise in Zion, God,
And the ^bvow will be fulfilled for You.
2 You who hear prayer,
To You ^call ^{▼▼Lit flesh comes}mankind comes.
3 ^{▼▼Or Confessions of wrongdoings
,} ^fWrongdoings prevail against me;
As for our offenses, You ^{▼▼Lit cover, atone for
,} ^hforgive them.
4 ⁱBlessed is the one You ^jchoose and allow to approach You;
He will dwell in Your courtyards.
We will be ^ksatisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.

5 By ^lawesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, ^mGod of our salvation,
You who are the trust of all the ⁿends of the earth and the farthest ^{▼▼Or seas
,} ^psea;
6 Who ^qestablishes the mountains by His strength,
Who is ^rencircled with might;
7 Who ^sstills the roaring of the seas,
The roaring of their waves,
And the ^tturmoil of the nations.
8 They who dwell at the ^uends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;
You make the ^{▼▼Lit outgoings of the morning and evening}sunrise and the sunset shout for joy.

9 You visit the earth and ^wcause it to overflow;
You greatly ^xenrich it;
The ^{▼▼Or channel
,} ^zstream of God is full of water;
You prepare their ^aagrain, for so You prepare ^{▼▼Lit it}the earth.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
You ^{▼▼Or smooth}settle its ridges,
You soften it ^adwith showers,
You bless its growth.
11 You have crowned the year ^{▼▼Lit of}with Your ^afgoodness,
And Your ^{▼▼I.e., wagon tracks}paths ^ahdrip with fatness.
12 ^aiThe pastures of the wilderness drip,
And the ^ajhills encircle themselves with rejoicing.
13 The meadows are ^akclothed with flocks
And the valleys are ^alcovered with grain;
They ^amshout for joy, yes, they sing.
