Comfort in Trouble from Recalling God’s Mighty Deeds.

1 My voice rises to God, and I will ^bcry aloud;
My voice rises to God, and He will listen to me.
2 In the ^cday of my trouble I sought the Lord;
^dIn the night my ^ehand was stretched out and did not grow weary;
My soul ^frefused to be comforted.
3 When I remember God, then I am ^grestless;
When I ^hsigh, then ⁱmy spirit feels weak. Selah
4 You have held my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I ^jcannot speak.
5 I have considered the ^kdays of old,
The years of long ago.
6 I will remember my ^lsong in the night;
I ^mwill meditate with my heart,
And my spirit ^{▼▼Lit searched}ponders:

7 Will the Lord ^oreject forever?
And will He ^pnever be favorable again?
8 Has His ^qfavor ceased forever?
Has His ^{▼▼Lit word
,} ^spromise come to an end ^{▼▼Lit from generation to generation}forever?
9 Has God ^uforgotten to be gracious,
Or has He in anger ^{▼▼Lit shut up}withdrawn His ^wcompassion? Selah
10 Then I said, “ ^xIt is my ^{▼▼Or infirmity, the years of the right hand of the Most High}grief,
That the ^zright hand of the Most High has changed.”

11 I shall remember the ^aadeeds of ^{▼▼Heb Yah}the Lord;
I will certainly ^acremember Your wonders of old.
12 I will ^admeditate on all Your work,
And on Your deeds with thanksgiving.
13 Your way, God, is ^aeholy;
^afWhat god is great like our God?
14 You are the ^agGod who works wonders;
You have ^ahmade known Your strength among the peoples.
15 By Your ^{▼▼Lit arm}power You have ^ajredeemed Your people,
The sons of Jacob and ^akJoseph. Selah

16 The ^alwaters saw You, God;
The waters saw You, they were in anguish;
The ocean depths also trembled.
17 The ^amclouds poured out water;
The skies ^{▼▼Lit gave a sound
,} ^aosounded out;
Your ^aparrows ^{▼▼Lit went}flashed here and there.
18 The ^arsound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;
The ^aslightning lit up the world;
The ^atearth trembled and shook.
19 Your ^auway was in the sea
And Your paths in the mighty waters,
And Your footprints were not known.
20 You ^avled Your people like a flock
By the hand of ^awMoses and Aaron.
