Prayer for Help and Guidance.

A Psalm of David.

1 Hear my prayer, Lord,
^aListen to my pleadings!
Answer me in Your ^bfaithfulness, in Your ^crighteousness!
2 And ^ddo not enter into judgment with Your servant,
For ^eno person living is righteous in Your sight.
3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul;
He has crushed my life ^fto the ground;
He ^ghas made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead.
4 Therefore ^hmy spirit ^{▼▼Or faints within}feels weak within me;
My heart is ^{▼▼Or desolate} ^kappalled within me.

5 I ^lremember the days of old;
I ^mmeditate on all Your accomplishments;
I ⁿreflect on the work of Your hands.
6 I ^ospread out my hands to You;
My ^psoul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah

7 ^qAnswer me quickly, Lord, my ^rspirit fails;
^sDo not hide Your face from me,
Or I will be the same as ^tthose who go down to the pit.
8 Let me hear Your ^ufaithfulness ^vin the morning,
For I trust ^win You;
Teach me the ^xway in which I should walk;
For to You I ^ylift up my soul.
9 ^zSave me, Lord, from my enemies;
^{▼▼Lit To You have I hidden}I take refuge in You.

10 ^abTeach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Let ^acYour good Spirit ^adlead me on level ^{▼▼Lit land}ground.
11 ^afFor the sake of Your name, Lord, ^agrevive me.
^ahIn Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And in Your faithfulness, ^{▼▼Or silence} ^ajdestroy my enemies,
And ^akeliminate all those who attack my soul,
For ^alI am Your servant.
