1 ^bProtect me, God, for ^cI take refuge in You.
2 ^{▼▼Or O my soul, you said}I said to the Lord, “You are ^{▼▼Or the Lord}my Lord;
I ^fhave nothing good besides You.”
3 As for the ^{▼▼Lit holy ones; i.e., God’s people} ^hsaints who are on the earth,
^{▼▼Lit They, even the}They are the majestic ones; ^jall my delight is in them.
4 ^{▼▼Lit Their pains, they who acquired}The ^lpains of those who have acquired another god will be multiplied;
I will not pour out their drink offerings of ^mblood,
Nor will I ⁿtake their names upon my lips.

5 The Lord is the ^oportion of my inheritance and my ^pcup;
You support my ^qlot.
6 The measuring ^rlines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my inheritance is ^sbeautiful to me.

7 I will bless the Lord who has ^tadvised me;
Indeed, my ^{▼▼Lit kidneys, figurative for inner man} ^vmind instructs me in the night.
8 ^wI have ^xset the Lord continually before me;
Because He is ^yat my right hand, ^zI will not be shaken.
9 Therefore ^aamy heart is glad and ^abmy glory rejoices;
My flesh also will ^acdwell securely.
10 For You ^adwill not abandon my soul to ^{▼▼I.e., the netherworld}Sheol;
You will not ^{▼▼Lit give} ^agallow Your ^{▼▼Or godly one}Holy One to ^{▼▼Or see corruption; or the pit}undergo decay.
11 You will make known to me ^ajthe way of life;
In ^akYour presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are ^alpleasures forever.
