The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.1 How blessed is the man who a does not walk in the b counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the ▼
▼ Or way, d path of sinners,
Nor e sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his f delight is g in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates h day and i night.
3 He will be like j a tree firmly planted by ▼
▼ Or canalsstreams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its ▼
▼ Or foliageleaf does not wither;
▼ Or all that he does prospersin whatever he does n he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like o chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore p the wicked will not stand in the q judgment,
Nor sinners in r the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord ▼
▼ Or approves or has regard to, t knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of u the wicked will perish.
