Psalms 1

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

1How blessed is the man who a  does not walk in the b  counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the
Or way
,
d  path of sinners,
Nor e  sit in the seat of scoffers!
2But his f  delight is g  in the law of the  Lord,
And in His law he meditates h  day and i  night.
3He will be like j  a tree firmly planted by
Or canals
streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its
Or foliage
leaf does not wither;
And
Or all that he does prospers
in whatever he does n  he prospers.

4The wicked are not so,
But they are like o  chaff which the wind drives away.
5Therefore p  the wicked will not stand in the q  judgment,
Nor sinners in r  the assembly of the righteous.
6For the  Lord
Or approves or has regard to
,
t  knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of u  the wicked will perish.
