Psalms 104

The  Lord’s Care over All His Works.

1 a  Bless the  Lord, O my soul!
O  Lord my God, You are very great;
You are b  clothed with splendor and majesty,
2Covering Yourself with c  light as with a cloak,
d  Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.
3
Lit The one who
He f  lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;
Lit The one who
He makes the h  clouds His chariot;
Lit The one who
He walks upon the j  wings of the wind;
4
Lit Who
He makes
Or His angels, spirits
,
m  the winds His messengers,
Or His ministers flames of fire
Flaming o  fire His ministers.

5He p  established the earth upon its foundations,
So that it will not
Or move out of place
totter forever and ever.
6You r  covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
7At Your s  rebuke they fled,
At the t  sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
8The mountains rose; the valleys sank down
To the u  place which You established for them.
9You set a v  boundary that they may not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.

10
Lit The one who sends
He sends forth x  springs in the valleys;
They flow between the mountains;
11They y  give drink to every beast of the field;
The z  wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12
Or Over, Above
Beside them the birds of the heavens ab  dwell;
They
Lit give forth
lift up their voices among the branches.
13
Lit Who
He ae  waters the mountains from His upper chambers;
af  The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.

14
Lit Who
He causes the ah  grass to grow for the
Or beasts
cattle,
And aj  vegetation for the
Or cultivation by or service of
labor of man,
So that
Or He
he may bring forth
Lit bread
food an  from the earth,
15And ao  wine which makes man’s heart glad,
ap  So that he may make his face glisten with oil,
And
Lit bread
food which ar  sustains man’s heart.
16The trees of the  Lord
Lit are satisfied
drink their fill,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17Where the at  birds build their nests,
And the au  stork, whose home is the
Or cypress
fir trees.

18The high mountains are for the aw  wild goats;
The ax  cliffs are a refuge for the

az  shephanim.
19He made the moon ba  for the seasons;
The bb  sun knows the place of its setting.
20You bc  appoint darkness and it becomes night,
In which all the bd  beasts of the forest
Lit creep
prowl about.
21The bf  young lions roar after their prey
Lit And to seek
And bh  seek their food from God.
22 When the sun rises they withdraw
And lie down in their bi  dens.
23Man goes forth to bj  his work
And to his labor until evening.

24O  Lord, how bk  many are Your works!
Or With
In bm  wisdom You have made them all;
The bn  earth is full of Your
Or creatures
possessions.
25
Or This
There is the bq  sea, great and
Or broad of dimensions (lit hands)
broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Animals both small and great.
26There the bs  ships move along,
And
Or a sea monster
,
bu  Leviathan, which You have formed to sport in it.

27They all bv  wait for You
To bw  give them their food in
Lit its appointed time
due season.
28You give to them, they gather it up;
You by  open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
29You bz  hide Your face, they are dismayed;
You ca  take away their
Or breath
spirit, they expire
And cc  return to their dust.
30You send forth Your
Or breath
,
ce  Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the ground.

31Let the cf  glory of the  Lord endure forever;
Let the  Lord cg  be glad in His works;
32
Lit The one who
He ci  looks at the earth, and it cj  trembles;
He ck  touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33
Or Let me sing
I will sing to the  Lord
Lit in my lifetime
,
cn  as long as I live;
Or Let me sing
I will cp  sing praise to my God
Lit while I still am
while I have my being.
34Let my cr  meditation be pleasing to Him;
As for me, I shall cs  be glad in the  Lord.
35Let sinners be ct  consumed from the earth
And let the cu  wicked be no more.
cv  Bless the  Lord, O my soul.
Or Hallelujah!
,
cx  Praise
Heb  Yah
the  Lord!
