Psalms 105

The  Lord’s Wonderful Works in Behalf of Israel.

Oh a give thanks to the  Lord b call upon His name;
c Make known His deeds among the peoples.
Sing to Him, d sing praises to Him;
Or Meditate on
f Speak of all His
I.e. wonderful acts
Or Boast
Glory in His holy name;
Let the i heart of those who seek the  Lord be glad.
Seek the  Lord and j His strength;
k Seek His face continually.
Remember His
I.e. wonderful acts
m wonders which He has done,
His marvels and the n judgments
Lit of His mouth
uttered by His mouth,
O seed of p Abraham, His servant,
O sons of q Jacob, His r chosen ones!
He is the  Lord our God;
His s judgments are in all the earth.

He has t remembered His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded to a u thousand generations,
The v  covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His w oath to Isaac.
10 Then He x confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying y To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the
Lit measuring line
aa portion of your inheritance,”
12 When they were only a ab few men in number,
Very few, and ac strangers in it.
13 And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
14 He ad permitted no man to oppress them,
And He ae reproved kings for their sakes:
15  af Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”

16 And He ag called for a famine upon the land;
He ah broke the whole staff of bread.
17 He ai sent a man before them,
Joseph, who was aj sold as a slave.
18 They afflicted his ak feet with fetters,
Lit His soul came into
He himself was laid in irons;
19 Until the time that his am word came to pass,
The word of the  Lord
Or refined
ao tested him.
20 The ap king sent and released him,
The ruler of peoples, and set him free.
21 He aq made him lord of his house
And ruler over all his possessions,
22 To
Lit bind
imprison his princes
Lit at his
at at will,
That he might teach his elders wisdom.
23  au Israel also came into Egypt;
Thus Jacob av sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 And He aw caused His people to be very fruitful,
And made them stronger than their adversaries.

25 He ax turned their heart to hate His people,
To ay deal craftily with His servants.
26 He az sent Moses His servant,
And ba Aaron, whom He had chosen.
27 They
Lit set the words of His signs
bc performed His wondrous acts among them,
And miracles in the land of Ham.
28 He bd sent darkness and made it dark;
And they did not be rebel against His words.
29 He bf turned their waters into blood
And caused their fish to die.
30 Their land swarmed with bg frogs
Even in the bh chambers of their kings.
31 He spoke, and there came a bi swarm of flies
And bj gnats in all their territory.
32 He
Or made their rain hail
gave them bl hail for rain,
And flaming fire in their land.
33 He bm struck down their vines also and their fig trees,
And shattered the trees of their territory.
34 He spoke, and bn locusts came,
And young locusts, even without number,
35 And ate up all vegetation in their land,
And ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 He also bo struck down all the firstborn in their land,
The bp first fruits of all their vigor.

37 Then He brought them out with bq silver and gold,
And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.
38 Egypt was br glad when they departed,
For the bs dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a bt cloud for a
Or curtain
And bv fire to illumine by night.
Or One
They bx asked, and He brought by quail,
And satisfied them with the
Or food
ca bread of heaven.
41 He opened the
Or boulder
rock and cc water flowed out;
Lit They went
It ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For He ce remembered His holy word
With Abraham His servant;
43 And He brought forth His people with joy,
His chosen ones with a joyful cf shout.
44 He cg gave them also the lands of the
Or Gentiles
That they ci might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,
45 So that they might cj keep His statutes
And observe His laws,
Or Hallelujah!
Heb  Yah
the  Lord!
