Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God.


How blessed are those whose way is
Lit complete; or having integrity
b blameless,
Who c walk in the law of the  Lord.
How blessed are those who d observe His testimonies,
Who e seek Him f with all their heart.
They also g do no unrighteousness;
They walk in His ways.
You have
Lit commanded
i ordained Your precepts,
Lit To keep
That we should keep them diligently.
Oh that my k ways may be established
To l keep Your statutes!
Then I m shall not be ashamed
When I look
Lit to
upon all Your commandments.
I shall o give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
I shall keep Your statutes;
Do not p forsake me utterly!


How can a young man keep his way pure?
By q keeping it according to Your word.
10 With r all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me s wander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have t treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O  Lord;
u Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have v told of
All the w ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have x rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
Lit As over all
As much as in all riches.
15 I will z meditate on Your precepts
Or look upon
regard ab Your ways.
16 I shall
Lit delight myself
ad delight in Your statutes;
I shall ae not forget Your word.


17  af Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your law.
19 I am a ag stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul is crushed

After Your ordinances at all times.
21 You aj rebuke the arrogant
Or Cursed are those who wander...

Who am wander from Your commandments.

For I ao observe Your testimonies.
23 Even though ap princes sit and talk against me,
Your servant aq meditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my ar delight;

25 My at soul cleaves to the dust;
au Revive me av according to Your word.
26 I have told of my ways, and You have answered me;
aw Teach me Your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts,
So I will ax meditate on Your wonders.
28 My ay soul

weeps because of grief;
ba Strengthen me according to Your word.
29 Remove the false way from me,
And graciously grant me Your law.
30 I have chosen the faithful way;
I have
Or accounted Your ordinances worthy
placed Your ordinances before me.
31 I bc cling to Your testimonies;
O  Lord, do not put me to shame!
32 I shall run the way of Your commandments,
For You will bd enlarge my heart.


33  be Teach me, O  Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall observe it to the end.
34  bf Give me understanding, that I may bg observe Your law
And keep it bh with all my heart.
35 Make me walk in the bi path of Your commandments,
For I bj delight in it.
36  bk Incline my heart to Your testimonies
And not to bl  dishonest gain.
37 Turn away my bm eyes from looking at vanity,
And bn revive me in Your ways.
38  bo Establish Your
Or promise
word to Your servant,
Lit Which is for the fear of You
As that which produces reverence for You.
39  br Turn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your ordinances are good.
40 Behold, I bs long for Your precepts;
Revive me through Your righteousness.


41 May Your bt lovingkindnesses also come to me, O  Lord,
Your salvation bu according to Your

42 So I will have an bw answer for him who bx reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
43 And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
For I
Or hope in
bz wait for Your ordinances.
44 So I will ca keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
45 And I will cb walk
Lit in a wide place
at liberty,
For I cd seek Your precepts.
46 I will also speak of Your testimonies ce before kings
And shall not be ashamed.
47 I shall
Lit delight myself
cg delight in Your commandments,
Which I ch love.
48 And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments,
Which I ci love;
And I will cj meditate on Your statutes.


49 Remember the word to Your servant,

In which You have made me hope.
50 This is my cl comfort in my affliction,
That Your word has
Or preserved me alive
revived me.
51 The arrogant cn utterly deride me,
Yet I do not co turn aside from Your law.
52 I have cp remembered Your ordinances from
Or everlasting
of old, O  Lord,
And comfort myself.
53 Burning cr indignation has seized me because of the wicked,
Who cs forsake Your law.
54 Your statutes are my songs
In the house of my ct pilgrimage.

And keep Your law.

To keep Your commandments.

But I have di not forgotten Your law.
62 At dj midnight I shall rise to give thanks to You
Because of Your dk righteous ordinances.
63 I am a dl companion of all those who
Or revere
fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64  dn The earth is full of Your lovingkindness, O  Lord;
do Teach me Your statutes.


65 You have dealt well with Your servant,
O  Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good
Or judgment
dq discernment and knowledge,
For I believe in Your commandments.
67  dr Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are ds good and dt do good;
du Teach me Your statutes.
69 The arrogant
Lit besmear me with lies
have dw forged a lie against me;
With all my heart I will dx observe Your precepts.
70 Their heart is
Lit gross like fat
dz covered with fat,
But I ea delight in Your law.
71 It is eb good for me that I was afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
72 The ec law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

ef Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.

Or revere
fear You eh see me and be glad,
Because I
Or hope in
ej wait for Your word.
75 I know, O  Lord, that Your judgments are ek righteous,
And that el in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
76 O may Your lovingkindness
Lit be for my comfort

According to Your
Or promise
word to Your servant.
77 May eo Your compassion come to me that I may live,
For Your law is my ep delight.
78 May eq the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me er with a lie;
But I shall es meditate on Your precepts.
79 May those who
Or revere
fear You turn to me,
Even those who know Your testimonies.
80 May my heart be
Lit complete; or having integrity
ev blameless in Your statutes,
So that I will not ew be ashamed.


81 My ex soul languishes for Your salvation;
Or hope in
ez wait for Your word.
82 My fa eyes fail with longing for Your
Or promise

While I say, “When will You comfort me?”
83 Though I have fd become like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do fe not forget Your statutes.
84 How many are the ff days of Your servant?
When will You fg execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 The arrogant have fh dug pits for me,
Men who are not
Lit according to Your law
in accord with Your law.
86 All Your commandments are fj faithful;
They have fk persecuted me with a lie; fl help me!
87 They almost destroyed me
Lit in the earth
on earth,
But as for me, I fn did not forsake Your precepts.
88 Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.


89  fo Forever, O  Lord,
Your word
Lit stands firm
is settled in heaven.
90 Your fq faithfulness continues

throughout all generations;
You fs established the earth, and it ft stands.
91 They stand this day according to Your fu ordinances,
For fv all things are Your servants.
92 If Your law had not been my fw delight,
Then I would have perished fx in my affliction.
93 I will fy never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have
Or kept me alive
ga revived me.
94 I am Yours, gb save me;
For I have gc sought Your precepts.
95 The wicked gd wait for me to destroy me;
I shall diligently consider Your testimonies.
96 I have seen
Lit an end of
a limit to all perfection;
Your commandment is exceedingly broad.


97 O how I gf love Your law!
It is my gg meditation all the day.
98 Your gh commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
For they are ever
Or with me
99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my gj meditation.
100 I understand gk more than the aged,
Because I have gl observed Your precepts.
101 I have gm restrained my feet from every evil way,
That I may keep Your word.
102 I have not gn turned aside from Your ordinances,
For You Yourself have taught me.
103 How go sweet are Your

Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 From Your precepts I gr get understanding;
Therefore I gs hate every false way.


105 Your word is a gt lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106 I have gu sworn and I will confirm it,
That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.
107 I am exceedingly gv afflicted;
Or Keep me alive
gx Revive me, O  Lord, according to Your word.
108 O accept the gy freewill offerings of my mouth, O  Lord,
And gz teach me Your ordinances.

hb life is continually
I.e. in danger
in my hand,
Yet I do not hd forget Your law.
110 The wicked have he laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not hf gone astray from Your precepts.
111 I have hg inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the hh joy of my heart.

Forever, even hj to the end.


113 I hate those who are hk double-minded,
But I love Your hl law.
114 You are my hm hiding place and my hn shield;
Or hope in
hp wait for Your word.

That I may hr observe the commandments of my God.

word, that I may live;
And hu do not let me be

117 Uphold me that I may be hw safe,
That I may hx have regard for Your statutes continually.

rejected all those hz who wander from Your statutes,
For their deceitfulness is

removed all the wicked of the earth like ic dross;
Therefore I id love Your testimonies.
120 My flesh
Lit bristles up from
if trembles for fear of You,
And I am ig afraid of Your judgments.


121 I have ih done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be ii surety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the arrogant ij oppress me.
123 My ik eyes fail with longing for Your salvation
And for Your righteous

124 Deal with Your servant im according to Your lovingkindness
And in teach me Your statutes.
125  io I am Your servant; ip give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time for the  Lord to iq act,
For they have broken Your law.
127 Therefore I ir love Your commandments
Above gold, yes, above fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem right all Your is precepts concerning everything,
I it hate every false way.

Therefore my soul iv observes them.

And upright are Your judgments.

consumed me,
Because my adversaries have forgotten Your words.

Therefore Your servant ju loves it.

Yet I do not jw forget Your precepts.

161  ll Princes persecute me without cause,
But my heart lm stands in awe of Your words.
