Psalms 138

Thanksgiving for the  Lord’s Favor.

A Psalm of David.

1 a  I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the b  gods.
2I will bow down c  toward Your holy temple
And d  give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your
Or faithfulness
For You have f  magnified Your
Or promise
Or together with
according to all Your name.
3On the day I i  called, You answered me;
You made me bold with j  strength in my soul.

4 k  All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O  Lord,
When they have heard the words of Your mouth.
5And they will l  sing of the ways of the  Lord,
For m  great is the glory of the  Lord.
6For n  though the  Lord is exalted,
Yet He o  regards the lowly,
But the p  haughty He knows from afar.

7Though I q  walk in the midst of trouble, You will
Or keep me alive
s  revive me;
You will t  stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will u  save me.
8The  Lord will v  accomplish what concerns me;
Your w  lovingkindness, O  Lord, is everlasting;
x  Do not forsake the y  works of Your hands.
