Psalms 144

Prayer for Rescue and Prosperity.

A Psalm of David.

Blessed be the  Lord, a my rock,
Who b trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle;
My lovingkindness and c my fortress,
My d stronghold and my deliverer,
My e shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who f subdues
Another reading is peoples
my people under me.
O  Lord h what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You think of him?
i Man is like a mere breath;
His j days are like a passing shadow.

k Bow Your heavens, O  Lord, and l come down;
m Touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
Flash forth n lightning and scatter them;
Send out Your o arrows and confuse them.
Stretch forth Your hand p from on high;
Rescue me and q deliver me out of great waters,
Out of the hand of r aliens
Whose mouths s speak deceit,
And whose t right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a u new song to You, O God;
Upon a v harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
10 Who w gives salvation to kings,
Who x rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
11 Rescue me and deliver me out of the hand of y aliens,
Whose mouth z speaks deceit
And whose aa right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

12 Let our sons in their youth be as ab grown-up plants,
And our daughters as ac corner pillars
Lit cut after the pattern of
fashioned as for a palace;
13 Let our ae garners be full, furnishing every kind of produce,
And our flocks bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our
Lit outside
fields;
14 Let our ag cattle
Lit be laden
bear
Without
Lit bursting forth
,
aj mishap and without
Lit going out
,
al loss,
Let there be no am outcry in our streets!
15 How blessed are the people who are so situated;
How an blessed are the people whose God is the  Lord!
