Psalms 147

Praise for Jerusalem’s Restoration and Prosperity.

Or Hallelujah!
Heb  Yah
the  Lord!
For c it is good to sing praises to our God;
Or He is gracious
it is pleasant and praise is e becoming.
The  Lord f builds up Jerusalem;
He g gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the h brokenhearted
And i binds up their
Lit sorrows
He k counts the number of the stars;
Or calls them all by their names
m gives names to all of them.
n Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His o understanding is
Lit innumerable
The  Lord
Or relieves
r supports the afflicted;
He brings down the wicked to the ground.

s Sing to the  Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises to our God on the lyre,
Who t covers the heavens with clouds,
Who u provides rain for the earth,
Who v makes grass to
Lit spring forth
grow on the mountains.
He x gives to the beast its food,
And to the y young ravens which cry.
10 He does not delight in the strength of the z horse;
He aa does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 The  Lord ab favors those who fear Him,
ac Those who wait for His lovingkindness.

12 Praise the  Lord, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!
13 For He has strengthened the ad bars of your gates;
He has ae blessed your sons within you.
14 He af makes
Lit your borders peace
peace in your borders;
He ah satisfies you with ai the
Lit fat
finest of the wheat.
15 He sends forth His ak command to the earth;
His al word runs very swiftly.
16 He gives am snow like wool;
He scatters the an frost like ashes.
17 He casts forth His ao ice as fragments;
Who can stand before His ap cold?
18 He aq sends forth His word and melts them;
He ar causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.
19 He as declares His words to Jacob,
His at statutes and His ordinances to Israel.
20 He au has not dealt thus with any nation;
And as for His ordinances, they have av not known them.
Or Hallelujah!
Heb  Yah
the  Lord!
