Psalms 29

The Voice of the  Lord in the Storm.

A Psalm of David.

a Ascribe to the  Lord, O
Or sons of gods
sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the  Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the  Lord the glory
Lit of His name
due to His name;
Worship the  Lord d in
Or the majesty of holiness
holy array.

The f voice of the  Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory g thunders,
The  Lord is over
Or great
i many waters.
The voice of the  Lord is j powerful,
The voice of the  Lord is majestic.
The voice of the  Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the  Lord breaks in pieces k the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon l skip like a calf,
And m Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the  Lord hews out
I.e. lightning
flames of fire.
The voice of the  Lord
Or whirl
shakes the wilderness;
The  Lord shakes the wilderness of p Kadesh.
The voice of the  Lord makes q the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And r in His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10 The  Lord sat as King at the s flood;
Yes, the  Lord sits as t King forever.
Or May the  Lord give
The  Lord will give v strength to His people;
Or May the  Lord bless
The  Lord will bless His people with x peace.
