the Ezrahite.

I will d sing of the lovingkindness of the  Lord forever;
To all generations I will e make known Your f faithfulness with my mouth.
For I have said g Lovingkindness will be built up forever;
In the heavens You will establish Your h faithfulness.”
I have made a covenant with i My chosen;
I have j sworn to David My servant,
I will establish your k seed forever
And build up your l throne to all generations.”

The n heavens will praise Your wonders, O  Lord;
Your faithfulness also o in the assembly of the p holy ones.
For q who in the skies is comparable to the  Lord?
Who among the
Or sons of gods
s sons of the mighty is like the  Lord,
A God t greatly feared in the council of the u holy ones,
And v awesome above all those who are around Him?
O  Lord God of hosts w who is like You, O mighty
Heb  Yah
Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
You rule the swelling of the sea;
When its waves rise, You y still them.
10 You Yourself crushed

aa Rahab like one who is slain;
You ab scattered Your enemies with
Lit the arm of Your might
Your mighty arm.

11 The ad heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours;
The ae world and
Lit its fullness
all it contains, You have founded them.
12 The ag north and the south, You have created them;
ah Tabor and ai Hermon aj shout for joy at Your name.
13 You have
Lit an arm with strength
a strong arm;
Your hand is mighty, Your al right hand is exalted.
14  am Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
an Lovingkindness and
Or faithfulness
truth go before You.
15 How blessed are the people who know the
Or blast of the trumpet, shout of joy
aq joyful sound!
O  Lord, they walk in the ar light of Your countenance.
16 In as Your name they rejoice all the day,
And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
17 For You are the glory of at their strength,
And by Your favor
Another reading is You exalt our horn

18 For our aw shield belongs to the  Lord,
Or Even to the Holy One of Israel our King

Or At that time
Once You spoke in vision to Your godly

bk son of wickedness afflict him.
23 “But I shall bl crush his adversaries before him,
And strike those who hate him.
24 “My bm faithfulness and My lovingkindness will be with him,
And in My name his bn horn will be exalted.
25 I shall also set his hand bo on the sea
And his right hand on the rivers.
26 He will cry to Me, ‘You are bp my Father,
My God, and the bq rock of my salvation.’
27 I also shall make him My br firstborn,
The bs highest of the kings of the earth.
28 “My bt lovingkindness I will keep for him forever,
And My bu covenant shall be confirmed to him.
29 So I will establish his
Lit seed
bw descendants forever
And his bx throne by as the days of heaven.

30 If his sons bz forsake My law
And do not walk in My judgments,
31 If they
Lit profane
violate My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
32 Then I will punish their transgression with the cb rod
And their iniquity with stripes.
33 But I will not break off cc My lovingkindness from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34 “My cd covenant I will not
Lit profane
Nor will I cf alter
Lit that which goes forth
the utterance of My lips.
Or One thing
Once I have ci sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
36 “His
Lit seed
ck descendants shall endure forever
And his cl throne cm as the sun before Me.
37 It shall be established forever cn like the moon,
And the co witness in the sky is faithful.”

38 But You have cq cast off and cr rejected,
You have been full of wrath

against Your ct anointed.
39 You have cu spurned the covenant of Your servant;
You have cv profaned cw his crown
Lit to the ground
in the dust.
40 You have cy broken down all his walls;
You have cz brought his strongholds to ruin.
41  da All who pass along the way plunder him;
He has become a db reproach to his neighbors.
42 You have dc exalted the right hand of his adversaries;
You have dd made all his enemies rejoice.
43 You also turn back the edge of his sword
And have de not made him stand in battle.
44 You have made his
Lit clearness, luster
dg splendor to cease
And cast his throne to the ground.
45 You have dh shortened the days of his youth;
You have di covered him with shame. Selah.

46  dj How long, O  Lord?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your dk wrath burn like fire?
47  dl Remember
Lit of what duration I am
what my span of life is;
For what dn vanity
Or have
You have created all the sons of men!
48 What man can live and not dp see death?
Can he dq deliver his soul from the
Lit hand
power of
I.e. the nether world
Sheol? Selah.

49 Where are Your former lovingkindnesses, O Lord,
Which You dt swore to David in Your faithfulness?
50 Remember, O Lord, the du reproach of Your servants;
Lit My bearing in my bosom
How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,
51 With which dw Your enemies have reproached, O  Lord,
With which they have reproached the footsteps of dx Your anointed.
