Or keep

The Patmos Vision

9

aj  I, John, your ak  brother and al  fellow partaker in the tribulation and am  kingdom and
Or steadfastness
,
ao  perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos ap  because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10I was
Or in spirit
,
ar  in the Spirit on as  the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice at  like the sound of a trumpet,
11saying, au  Write in a
Or scroll
book what you see, and send it to the aw  seven churches: to ax  Ephesus and to ay  Smyrna and to az  Pergamum and to ba  Thyatira and to bb  Sardis and to bc  Philadelphia and to bd  Laodicea.”
12

Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw be  seven golden lampstands;
13and bf  in the middle of the lampstands I saw one bg  like
Or the Son of Man
a son of man, bi  clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and bj  girded across His chest with a golden sash.
14His head and His bk  hair were white like white wool, like snow; and bl  His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15His bm  feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His bn  voice was like the sound of many waters. 16In His right hand He held bo  seven stars, and out of His mouth came a bp  sharp two-edged sword; and His bq  face was like br  the sun
Lit shines
shining in its strength.
17

When I saw Him, I bt  fell at His feet like a dead man. And He bu  placed His right hand on me, saying, bv  Do not be afraid; bw  I am the first and the last,
18and the bx  living One; and I
Lit became
,
bz  was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have ca  the keys of death and of Hades.
19Therefore cb  write cc  the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place cd  after these things. 20“As for the ce  mystery of the cf  seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the cg  seven golden lampstands: the ch  seven stars are the angels of ci  the seven churches, and the seven cj  lampstands are the seven churches.
