Titus 2

Duties of the Older and Younger

1But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for a  sound doctrine. 2 b  Older men are to be c  temperate, dignified, sensible d  sound e  in faith, in love, in
Or steadfastness
perseverance.

3Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior g  not malicious gossips nor h  enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, 4so that they may
Or train
encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5to be sensible, pure j  workers at home, kind, being k  subject to their own husbands l  so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

6Likewise urge m  the young men to be
Or sensible in all things; show
sensible;
7in all things show yourself to be o  an example of good deeds, with
Or soundness; lit uncorruptness
purity in doctrine, dignified,
8sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so q  that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

9 Urge r  bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not
Lit contradicting
argumentative,
10not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of t  God our Savior in every respect.

11For the grace of God has u  appeared
Or to all men, bringing
,
w  bringing salvation to all men,
12
Or disciplining
instructing us to deny ungodliness and y  worldly desires and z  to live sensibly, righteously and godly aa  in the present age,
13looking for the blessed hope and the ab  appearing of the glory of
Or the great God and our Savior
,
ad  our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14who ae  gave Himself for us af  to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to ag  purify for Himself a ah  people for His own possession ai  zealous for good deeds.

15These things speak and aj  exhort and ak  reprove with all
Lit command
authority. am  Let no one disregard you.
