Therefore the
people of
Israel stripped themselves of their
ornaments,
from Mount Horeb onward.

eleven days’ journey
from Horeb by the
way of
Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea.

So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he travelled for forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

Horeb, the
mount of
God.
