וַאֲנִי בִּשְׁנַת אַחַת לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הַמָּדִי עָמְדִי לְמַחֲזִיק וּלְמָעוֹז לֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἐγὼ ἐν ἔτει πρώτῳ Κύρου ἔστην εἰς κράτος καὶ ἰσχύν.

And from the first year of Darius, the Mede, I stood up, that he might be strengthened, and confirmed.

Dan 11:2

וְעַתָּה אֱמֶת אַגִּיד לָךְ הִנֵּה־עוֹד שְׁלֹשָׁה מְלָכִים עֹמְדִים לְפָרַס וְהָֽרְבִיעִי יַעֲשִׁיר עֹֽשֶׁר־גָּדוֹל מִכֹּל וּכְחֶזְקָתוֹ בְעָשְׁרוֹ יָעִיר הַכֹּל אֵת מַלְכוּת יָוָֽן׃

καὶ νῦν ἀλήθειαν ἀναγγελῶ σοι. ἰδοὺ ἔτι τρεῖς βασιλεῖς ἀναστήσονται ἐν τῇ Περσίδι, καὶ τέταρτος πλουτήσει πλοῦτον μέγαν παρὰ πάντας· καὶ μετὰ τὸ κρατῆσαι αὐτὸν τοῦ πλούτου αὐτοῦ ἐπαναστήσεται πάσαις βασιλείαις Ἑλλήνων.

And now I will shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand yet three kings in Persia, and the fourth shall be enriched exceedingly above them all: and when he shall be grown mighty by his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.

Dan 11:3

וְעָמַד מֶלֶךְ גִּבּוֹר וּמָשַׁל מִמְשָׁל רַב וְעָשָׂה כִּרְצוֹנֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἀναστήσεται βασιλεὺς δυνατὸς καὶ κυριεύσει κυριείας πολλῆς καὶ ποιήσει κατὰ τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ.

But there shall rise up a strong king, and shall rule with great power: and he shall do what he pleaseth.

Dan 11:4

וּכְעָמְדוֹ תִּשָּׁבֵר מַלְכוּתוֹ וְתֵחָץ לְאַרְבַּע רוּחוֹת הַשָּׁמָיִם וְלֹא לְאַחֲרִיתוֹ וְלֹא כְמָשְׁלוֹ אֲשֶׁר מָשָׁל כִּי תִנָּתֵשׁ מַלְכוּתוֹ וְלַאֲחֵרִים מִלְּבַד־אֵֽלֶּה׃

καὶ ὡς ἂν στῇ, βασιλεία αὐτοῦ συντριβήσεται καὶ διαιρεθήσεται εἰς τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὰ ἔσχατα αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ κατὰ τὴν κυριείαν αὐτοῦ, ἣν ἐκυρίευσεν, ὅτι ἐκτιλήσεται βασιλεία αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἑτέροις ἐκτὸς τούτων.

And when he shall come to his height, his kingdom shall be broken, and it shall be divided towards the four winds of the heaven: but not to his posterity, nor according to his power with which he ruled. For his kingdom shall be rent in pieces, even for strangers, besides these.

Dan 11:5

וְיֶחֱזַק מֶֽלֶךְ־הַנֶּגֶב וּמִן־שָׂרָיו וְיֶחֱזַק עָלָיו וּמָשָׁל מִמְשָׁל רַב מֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἐνισχύσει βασιλεὺς τοῦ νότου· καὶ εἷς τῶν ἀρχόντων αὐτοῦ. ἐνισχύσει ἐπ' αὐτὸν καὶ κυριεύσει κυριείαν πολλὴν ἐπ' ἐξουσίας αὐτοῦ

And the king of the south shall be strengthened, and one of his princes shall prevail over him, and he shall rule with great power: for his dominions shall be great.

Dan 11:6

וּלְקֵץ שָׁנִים יִתְחַבָּרוּ וּבַת מֶֽלֶךְ־הַנֶּגֶב תָּבוֹא אֶל־מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן לַעֲשׂוֹת מֵישָׁרִים וְלֹֽא־תַעְצֹר כּוֹחַ הַזְּרוֹעַ וְלֹא יַעֲמֹד וּזְרֹעוֹ וְתִנָּתֵן הִיא וּמְבִיאֶיהָ וְהַיֹּלְדָהּ וּמַחֲזִקָהּ בָּעִתִּֽים׃

καὶ μετὰ τὰ ἔτη αὐτοῦ συμμειγήσονται, καὶ θυγάτηρ βασιλέως τοῦ νότου εἰσελεύσεται πρὸς βασιλέα τοῦ βορρᾶ τοῦ ποιῆσαι συνθήκας· μετ' αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ κρατήσει ἰσχύος βραχίονος, καὶ οὐ στήσεται τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ, καὶ παραδοθήσεται αὐτὴ καὶ οἱ φέροντες αὐτὴν καὶ νεᾶνις καὶ κατισχύων αὐτὴν ἐν τοῖς καιροῖς.

And after the end of years they shall be in league together: and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make friendship, but she shall not obtain the strength of the arm, neither shall her seed stand: and she shall be given up, and her young men that brought her, and they that strengthened her in these times.

Et post finem annorum foederabuntur filiaque regis Austri veniet ad regem Aquilonis facere amicitiam et non obtinebit fortitudinem brachii nec stabit semen eius et tradetur ipsa et qui adduxerunt eam adolescentes eius et qui confortabant eam in temporibus

וְעָמַד מִנֵּצֶר שָׁרָשֶׁיהָ כַּנּוֹ וְיָבֹא אֶל־הַחַיִל וְיָבֹא בְּמָעוֹז מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וְעָשָׂה בָהֶם וְהֶחֱזִֽיק׃

καὶ στήσεται ἐκ τοῦ ἄνθους τῆς ῥίζης αὐτῆς τῆς ἑτοιμασίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἥξει πρὸς τὴν δύναμιν καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὰ ὑποστηρίγματα τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ποιήσει ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ κατισχύσει.

And a plant of the bud of her roots shall stand up: and he shall come with an army, and shall enter into the province of the king of the north: and he shall abuse them, and shall prevail.

Et stabit de germine radicum eius plantatio et veniet cum exercitu et ingredietur provinciam regis Aquilonis et abutetur eis et obtinebit

Dan 11:8

וְגַם אֱ‍ֽלֹהֵיהֶם עִם־נְסִֽכֵיהֶם עִם־כְּלֵי חֶמְדָּתָם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב בַּשְּׁבִי יָבִא מִצְרָיִם וְהוּא שָׁנִים יַעֲמֹד מִמֶּלֶךְ הַצָּפֽוֹן׃

καὶ γε τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτῶν μετὰ τῶν χωνευτῶν αὐτῶν πᾶν σκεῦος ἐπιθυμητὸν αὐτῶν ἀργυρίου καὶ χρυσίου, μετὰ αἰχμαλωσίας οἴσει εἰς Αἴγυπτον· καὶ αὐτὸς στήσεται ὑπὲρ βασιλέα τοῦ βορρᾶ.

And he shall also carry away captive into Egypt their gods, and their graven things, and their precious vessels of gold and silver: he shall prevail against the king of the north.

Dan 11:9

וּבָא בְּמַלְכוּת מֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב וְשָׁב אֶל־אַדְמָתֽוֹ׃

καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ νότου· καὶ ἀναστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ

And the king of the south shall enter into the kingdom, and shall return to his own land.

καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ. συνάξουσιν ὄχλον δυνάμεων πολλῶν, καὶ ἐλεύσεται ἐρχόμενος καὶ κατακλύζων· καὶ παρελεύσεται καὶ καθίεται καὶ συμπροσπλακήσεται ἕως τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ

And his sons shall be provoked, and they shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and he shall come with haste like a flood: and he shall return, and be stirred up, and he shall join battle with his force.

וְיִתְמַרְמַר מֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב וְיָצָא וְנִלְחַם עִמּוֹ עִם־מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וְהֶעֱמִיד הָמוֹן רָב וְנִתַּן הֶהָמוֹן בְּיָדֽוֹ׃

καὶ ἀγριανθήσεται βασιλεὺς τοῦ νότου καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ πολεμήσει μετὰ βασιλέως τοῦ βορρᾶ, καὶ στήσει ὄχλον πολύν, καὶ παραδοθήσεται ὄχλος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ·

And the king of the south being provoked, shall go forth, and shall fight against the king of the north, and shall prepare an exceeding great multitude, and a multitude shall be given into his hands.

Dan 11:12

לְבָבוֹ וְהִפִּיל רִבֹּאוֹת וְלֹא יָעֽוֹז׃

καὶ λήμψεται τὸν ὄχλον, καὶ ὑψωθήσεται καρδία αὐτοῦ, καὶ καταβαλεῖ μυριάδας καὶ οὐ κατισχύσει.

And he shall take a multitude, and his heart shall be lifted up, and he shall cast down many thousands: but he shall not prevail.

Et capiet multitudinem et exaltabitur cor eius et deiiciet multa millia sed non praevalebit

Dan 11:13

וְשָׁב מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וְהֶעֱמִיד הָמוֹן רַב מִן־הָרִאשׁוֹן וּלְקֵץ הָֽעִתִּים שָׁנִים יָבוֹא בוֹא בְּחַיִל גָּדוֹל וּבִרְכוּשׁ רָֽב׃

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει βασιλεὺς τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ἄξει ὄχλον πολὺν ὑπὲρ τὸν πρότερον καὶ εἰς τὸ τέλος τῶν καιρῶν ἐνιαυτῶν ἐπελεύσεται εἰσόδια ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν ὑπάρξει πολλῇ.

For the king of the north shall return, and shall prepare a multitude much greater than before: and in the end of times, and years, he shall come in haste with a great army, and much riches.

Dan 11:14

וּבָעִתִּים הָהֵם רַבִּים יַֽעַמְדוּ עַל־מֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב וּבְנֵי ׀ פָּרִיצֵי עַמְּךָ יִֽנַּשְּׂאוּ לְהַעֲמִיד חָזוֹן וְנִכְשָֽׁלוּ׃

καὶ ἐν τοῖς καιροῖς ἐκείνοις πολλοὶ ἐπαναστήσονται ἐπὶ βασιλέα τοῦ νότου· καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν λοιμῶν τοῦ λαοῦ σου ἐπαρθήσονται τοῦ στῆσαι ὅρασιν καὶ ἀσθενήσουσιν.

And in those times many shall rise up against the king of the south, and the children of prevaricators of thy people shall lift up themselves to fulfil the vision, and they shall fall.

Dan 11:15

וְיָבֹא מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וְיִשְׁפֹּךְ סֽוֹלֲלָה וְלָכַד עִיר מִבְצָרוֹת וּזְרֹעוֹת הַנֶּגֶב לֹא יַעֲמֹדוּ וְעַם מִבְחָרָיו וְאֵין כֹּחַ לַעֲמֹֽד׃

καὶ εἰσελεύσεται βασιλεὺς τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ἐκχεεῖ πρόσχωμα καὶ συλλήμψεται πόλεις ὀχυράς, καὶ οἱ βραχίονες τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ νότου οὐ στήσονται καὶ ἀναστήσονται οἱ ἐκλεκτοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἰσχὺς τοῦ στῆναι.

And the king of the north shall come, and shall cast up a mount, and shall take the best fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, and his chosen ones shall rise up to resist, and they shall not have strength.

Et venit rex Aquilonis et comportabit aggerem et capiet urbes munitissimas et brachia Austri non sustinebunt et consurgent electi eius ad resistendum et non erit fortitudo

Dan 11:16

וְיַעַשׂ הַבָּא אֵלָיו כִּרְצוֹנוֹ וְאֵין עוֹמֵד לְפָנָיו וְיַעֲמֹד בְּאֶֽרֶץ־הַצְּבִי וְכָלָה בְיָדֽוֹ׃

καὶ ποιήσει εἰσπορευόμενος πρὸς αὐτὸν κατὰ τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἑστὼς κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ· καὶ στήσεται ἐν γῇ τοῦ σαβι, καὶ συντελεσθήσεται ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ.

And he shall come upon him, and do according to his pleasure, and there shall be none to stand against his face: and he shall stand in the glorious land, and it shall be consumed by his hand.

Dan 11:17

וְיָשֵׂם ׀ פָּנָיו לָבוֹא בְּתֹקֶף כָּל־מַלְכוּתוֹ וִישָׁרִים עִמּוֹ וְעָשָׂה וּבַת הַנָּשִׁים יִתֶּן־לוֹ לְהַשְׁחִיתָהּ וְלֹא תַעֲמֹד וְלֹא־לוֹ תִהְיֶֽה׃

καὶ τάξει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εἰσελθεῖν ἐν ἰσχύι πάσης τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ καὶ εὐθεῖα πάντα μετ' αὐτοῦ ποιήσει· καὶ θυγατέρα τῶν γυναικῶν δώσει αὐτῷ τοῦ διαφθεῖραι αὐτήν, καὶ οὐ μὴ παραμείνῃ καὶ οὐκ αὐτῷ ἔσται.

And he shall set his face to come to possess all his kingdom, and he shall make upright conditions with him: and he shall give him a daughter of women, to overthrow it: and she shall not stand, neither shall she be for him.

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς νήσους καὶ συλλήμψεται πολλὰς καὶ καταπαύσει ἄρχοντας ὀνειδισμοῦ αὐτῶν πλὴν ὀνειδισμὸς αὐτοῦ. ἐπιστρέψει αὐτῷ.

And he shall turn his face to the islands, and shall take many: and he shall cause the prince of his reproach to cease, and his reproach shall be turned upon him.

Dan 11:19

וְיָשֵׁב פָּנָיו לְמָעוּזֵּי אַרְצוֹ וְנִכְשַׁל וְנָפַל וְלֹא יִמָּצֵֽא׃

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν ἰσχὺν τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀσθενήσει καὶ πεσεῖται καὶ οὐχ εὑρεθήσεται.

And he shall turn his face to the empire of his own land, and he shall stumble, and fall, and shall not be found.

Et convertet faciem suam ad imperium terrae suae et impinget et corruet et non invenietur

Dan 11:20

וְעָמַד עַל־כַּנּוֹ מַעֲבִיר נוֹגֵשׂ הֶדֶר מַלְכוּת וּבְיָמִים אֲחָדִים יִשָּׁבֵר וְלֹא בְאַפַּיִם וְלֹא בְמִלְחָמָֽה׃
(LXX)
καὶ ἀναστήσεται ἐκ τῆς ῥίζης αὐτοῦ φυτὸν βασιλείας ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ παραβιβάζων πράσσων δόξαν βασιλείας καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις συντριβήσεται καὶ οὐκ ἐν προσώποις οὐδὲ ἐν πολέμῳ.

And there shall stand up in his place one most vile, and unworthy of kingly honour: and in a few days he shall be destroyed, not in rage nor in battle.

Et stabit in loco eius vilissimus et indignus decore regio et in paucis diebus conteretur non in furore nec in praelio

Dan 11:21

וְעָמַד עַל־כַּנּוֹ נִבְזֶה וְלֹא־נָתְנוּ עָלָיו הוֹד מַלְכוּת וּבָא בְשַׁלְוָה וְהֶחֱזִיק מַלְכוּת בַּחֲלַקְלַקּֽוֹת׃
(LXX)
στήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ ἐξουδενώθη, καὶ οὐκ ἔδωκαν ἐπ' αὐτὸν δόξαν βασιλείας· καὶ ἥξει ἐν εὐθηνίᾳ καὶ κατισχύσει βασιλείας ἐν ὀλισθρήμασιν.

And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and the kingly honour shall not be given him: and he shall come privately, and shall obtain the kingdom by fraud.

Et stabit in loco eius despectus et non tribuetur ei honor regius et veniet clam et obtinebit regnum in fraudulentia

Dan 11:22

וּזְרֹעוֹת הַשֶּׁטֶף יִשָּׁטְפוּ מִלְּפָנָיו וְיִשָּׁבֵרוּ וְגַם נְגִיד בְּרִֽית׃

καὶ βραχίονες τοῦ κατακλύζοντος κατακλυσθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ· καὶ συντριβήσονται, καὶ ἡγούμενος διαθήκης·

And the arms of the fighter shall be overcome before his face, and shall be broken: yea, also the prince of the covenant.

Et brachia pugnantis expugnabuntur a facie eius et conterentur insuper et dux foederis

Dan 11:23

וּמִן־הִֽתְחַבְּרוּת אֵלָיו יַעֲשֶׂה מִרְמָה וְעָלָה וְעָצַם בִּמְעַט־גּֽוֹי׃

καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν συναναμείξεων πρὸς αὐτὸν ποιήσει δόλον καὶ ἀναβήσεται καὶ ὑπερισχύσει αὐτοῦ ἐν ὀλίγῳ ἔθνει.

And after friendships, he will deal deceitfully with him: and he shall go up, and shall overcome with a small people.

Et post amicitias cum eo faciet dolum et ascendet et superabit in modico populo

Dan 11:24

בְּשַׁלְוָה וּבְמִשְׁמַנֵּי מְדִינָה יָבוֹא וְעָשָׂה אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָשׂוּ אֲבֹתָיו וַאֲבוֹת אֲבֹתָיו בִּזָּה וְשָׁלָל וּרְכוּשׁ לָהֶם יִבְזוֹר וְעַל מִבְצָרִים יְחַשֵּׁב מַחְשְׁבֹתָיו וְעַד־עֵֽת׃
(LXX)
καὶ ἐν εὐθηνίᾳ καὶ ἐν πίοσιν χώραις ἥξει καὶ ποιήσει οὐκ ἐποίησαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ πατέρες τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ· προνομὴν καὶ σκῦλα καὶ ὕπαρξιν αὐτοῖς διασκορπιεῖ καὶ ἐπ' αιγυπτον λογιεῖται λογισμοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕως καιροῦ.
