1 Chronicles 12:17-18

17David went out to meet them and said to them, “If you have come to me in friendship to help me, my heart will be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, although there is no wrong in my hands, then may the God of our fathers see and rebuke you.” 18Then athe Spirit clothed bAmasai, chief of the thirty, and he said,

“We are yours, O David,
and with you, O son of Jesse!
cPeace, peace to you,
and peace to your helpers!
For your God helps you.”
Then David received them and made them officers of his troops.

John 21:15-17

Jesus and Peter

15When they had dfinished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, eSimon, fson of John, gdo you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, Feed hmy lambs.” 16He said to him a second time, Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, iTend jmy sheep.” 17He said to him the third time, Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him kthe third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, lyou know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, Feed mmy sheep.
