12 He shall build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 ^bI will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. I will not take my steadfast love from him, ^cas I took it from him who was before you,

1 Chronicles 22:7-9

7 David said to Solomon, “My son, ^dI had it in my heart to build a house to the name of the Lord my God. 8 But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ^e‘You have shed much blood and have waged great wars.
